Job summary

Arrive Alive Traffic Control, an AWP Safety company, seeks a MOT Technician to ensure safe traffic movement in construction zones in Tampa. You will set up and maintain lane closures, direct traffic, and comply with FDOT standards and customer specs.

This role emphasizes safety, clear communication, and ability to work in fast-paced conditions. We offer paid on-the-job training including ATSSA certification and defensive driving, plus full-time hours and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Reliable transportation to the job site.
• Pass background check and drug screen.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and 10+ hour days.
• Ability to lift, carry, or move up to 50 lbs.
• Able to perform physically demanding tasks on construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Implement traffic control measures to protect the public and team members.
• Set up and dismantle lane closures and other traffic control equipment.
• Load/unload and transport signs, cones, and barricades as required.
• Direct traffic around construction sites using flagging/signaling techniques.
• Perform routine safety and maintenance checks on equipment.
• Keep the worksite clean and organized; dispose of debris safely.
• Complete job paperwork and documentation accurately.
• Collaborate with coworkers to maintain a secure work zone.
• Monitor site conditions and adapt traffic control strategies as needed.
