Job summary

ACCIONA Energía seeks an MOT Superintendent to lead field crews on a major Georgia transportation project. You will plan, coordinate, and execute all temporary traffic control activities, ensuring safety, plan fidelity, and compliance with MUTCD and GDOT requirements.

The role requires coordinating with GDOT, law enforcement, and subcontractors, plus training staff on MOT procedures and maintaining accurate logs and reports. Nights/weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in roadway construction or TTC supervision.
• Strong knowledge of MUTCD and GDOT standards.
• ATSSA or NSC certifications required.
• Ability to lead field crews in roadway environments.
• Ability to read Traffic Control Plans and drawings.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, or irregular hours.
• Proficiency with Excel, Procore, or SharePoint.
• Experience with MOT field equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise MOT field crews in installation, maintenance, and removal of traffic control devices.
• Execute approved TCPs ensuring compliance with GDOT standards.
• Coordinate lane closures, detours, and traffic shifts with teams.
• Perform daily field inspections of device placement and visibility.
• Ensure MOT activities meet MUTCD, GDOT, OSHA and safety requirements.
• Train field personnel on MOT procedures and safety.
• Communicate MOT activities to project leadership.
• Review TCPs and lane closure requests for feasibility.
• Maintain daily MOT logs and reporting.
