Ameris Bank is seeking a Mortgage Wholesale Account Representative to generate new business with Mortgage Brokers, Independent Mortgage Bankers, Banks and Credit Unions. You will train Third Party Originators and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations while expanding Ameris' loan origination pipeline.

Role requires market research, prospect identification, and ongoing client engagement to convey Ameris' value proposition. Travel weekly away from home office is expected.

Qualifications

• Knowledgeable in mortgage transactions from disclosures to investor delivery.
• Ability to perform market analysis and cultivate clients.
• Strong communication, written and oral, with internal and external customers.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Ability to present material professionally.
• Ability to multi-task and stay organized.
• Strong time management and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop a Market Analysis to identify market size and loan products.
• Identify prospects by geography, product usage and volume potential.
• Categorize prospects into Tier 1, 2 or 3 based on origin potential.
• Establish a weekly call program to define client contact frequency.
• Perform targeted weekly client calls to convey the Bank's Value Proposition.
• Train Third Party Originator to collect loan application information.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and regulations.
• Maintain ethical sales behaviors aligned with company values.
