Job summary

Ameris Bank seeks a Mortgage Loan Originator to grow loan volumes by building relationships with realtors, builders and clients, and by originating and closing mortgage loans.

You will counsel customers on product options, guide them through the application, and coordinate with processors to ensure timely closings, while adhering to regulatory requirements and Ameris' standards.

A track record of $5M mortgage production and strong referral networks are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Experience using mortgage origination applications.
• Experience with a contact management system.
• Knowledge of mortgage products, servicing, operations, and market trends.
• Proven mortgage production of $5 million over the past year.
• Proven success in establishing referral relationships.

Responsibilities

• Maintain mortgage licensing (NMLS) in compliance with SAFE Act.
• Develop and maintain relationships with realtors, builders, developers, branches and other referral sources.
• Contact potential or existing customers to develop new business.
• Assist customers with loan applications and required disclosures within timelines.
• Oversee loan process and coordinate with processors to ensure timely status.
• Meet production standards and participate in required meetings and training.
