Qualifications

• 2+ years of new mortgage underwriting experience.
• Excellent knowledge of FNMA/FHLMC guidelines.
• Strong understanding of TRID, TILA and HMDA.
• Ability to navigate loan origination software and analytics.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Must read and interpret loan documents.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite complex loan applications and manage pipeline.
• Ensure loans are salable and conform to guidelines.
• Keep up with investor and insurer guidelines/programs.
• Adhere to company policy and procedures.
• Analyze borrower income, assets and credit/liabilities.
• Calculate income types and other figures.
• Ensure pipeline closes in a timely manner.
• Meet KRI and KPI metrics.
• Review and resolve loan issues.
• Collaborate with sales, processing, underwriting, closing, QA teams.
• Report material infractions to Underwriting Leadership.
