Job summary

Qualifications

• Current VA SAR designation required.
• 2+ years of new mortgage underwriting experience.
• Excellent working knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC guidelines.
• Deep knowledge of federal and state laws (e.g., TRID, TILA, ECOA and HMDA).
• Able to read and interpret loan documents and calculate income.
• Able to write correspondence and present information clearly.
• Basic computer skills and mortgage software proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Ensures loans approved are salable and conform to investor/insurer guidelines.
• Keeps up with latest investor programs and guidelines.
• Analyzes borrower income, assets and credit/liabilities documentation.
• Calculates simple and complex income types.
• Ensures assigned pipeline closes timely.
