Job summary

The Transaction Coordinator at Guild Mortgage Company in Charleston, SC supports loan originators by building complete loan files and handling contract-related steps from lead to contract and contract to close.

You will manage appointments, gather documentation, coordinate disclosures, and maintain communications with clients and referral sources while ensuring compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, with a minimum of one year total experience in Mortgage lending or related field.
• Does not require an active MLO licensing.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities; strong detail orientation and highly organized.
• Works with a strong sense of urgency and responsiveness.
• Proficiency with data entry, PDF software programs, Microsoft Word, and Excel required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ethical, with a commitment to company values.

Responsibilities

• Assist originator in appointment setting with prospective and new applicants.
• Provide new lead callbacks within 20 minutes and maintain a 35% conversion rate from lead to appointment.
• Manage client databases (lead tracker, MyCircle, Zillow) and send online pre-qualification links.
• Pull and prep web applications and update credit reports and AUS findings for licensed teammates.
• Set and confirm appointments for originator and manage calendar.
• Prepare and send thank you cards to referral sources and new clients.
• Monitor loan transactions and ensure timely status updates to customers and referral sources.
• Prepare and submit loan applications to processing and assist with documenting conditions.
• Order required verifications and supporting documentation for processing.
• Provide administrative support through production and underwriting processes.
