Job summary

Verus Mortgage Capital seeks a Business Analyst to bridge business stakeholders, mortgage operations, and technology partners. You will identify, evaluate, and implement tech and AI-driven solutions across non-Agency mortgage lifecycle within Loan Origination Systems.

The role requires strong BA expertise, mortgage knowledge, and a forward-thinking approach to automation and AI to improve efficiency, accuracy, and user experience. Hybrid or onsite work in DC is possible.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in relevant field required.
5+ years of experience as Business Analyst or related role.
3+ years mortgage industry experience in non-Agency/non-QM environments preferred.
Experience leading or supporting technology implementation projects.
Experience with workflow automation, AI, ML, or intelligent process automation preferred.
Strong understanding of mortgage origination, underwriting, loan operations, or capital markets.

Responsibilities

Identify opportunities to improve, automate, or simplify mortgage lifecycle processes within LOS.
Lead discovery discussions focused on goals and outcomes.
Evaluate opportunities to leverage ServiceNow, AI, automation, and other technologies.
Assess current-state processes and propose scalable, tech-driven solutions.
Develop business cases and evaluate value, feasibility, and impact of initiatives.
