Better is transforming home finance with a scalable AI-native platform. We are seeking an experienced loan processor to manage end-to-end mortgage loan applications, coordinate with loan officers and underwriters, and ensure accurate documentation.

You will maintain files, communicate with clients, and drive timely closings. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in business/finance and at least five years in mortgage; strong organizational and communication skills are essential; remote or hybrid

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of mortgage industry experience.
• Proactive and empowered, with ability to act with urgency.
• High integrity and a service-first mindset.
• Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
• Detail-oriented with familiarity in mortgage software and documentation tools.

Responsibilities

• Process end-to-end mortgage loan applications and collect/review documents for accuracy.
• Oversee organization and maintenance of loan files per regulatory standards.
• Serve as primary client contact, provide updates and address inquiries.
• Coordinate with underwriting, processing, and closing to ensure workflow.
• Ensure compliance with loan program guidelines and company policies.
• Monitor loan pipeline and communicate status to stakeholders.
• Identify and resolve issues impacting the loan process.
• Provide administrative support to loan officers and team members.
