Job summary

First Community Bank in the United States is seeking a Mortgage Servicing Associate to support interim servicing of residential loans sold on the secondary market. You will handle loan setup, pay-off, account reconciliations, and customer service while managing past-due collections.

Responsibilities include posting loans to the servicing system, verifying data transfers from origination systems to the servicing ledger, and monitoring initial mortgage payments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in mortgage servicing or related financial services role.
• Experience with mortgage servicing systems and loan origination systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Board mortgage loans to the servicing system accurately and timely upon receipt of closing packages.
• Verify transfer of loan fees, terms, and data from origination to servicing systems and GL.
• Monitor receipt of initial mortgage payments for serviced loans.
• Process loan payoffs in the servicing system and reconcile investor purchase advices.
• Balance and reconcile designated general ledger accounts and DDAs daily.
• Research and resolve account variances within timelines and compliance standards.
• Provide exceptional customer service to secondary market and portfolio mortgage customers.
• Conduct collection activities for delinquent payments and discuss repayment options.
• Develop and maintain department procedures for compliance and efficiency.
• Cross-train with team and provide backup to ensure business continuity.
