Job summary

Rate, a national retail mortgage lender founded in 2000 and based in Chicago, seeks a Processor to manage the transition from VP sale to UW submission, ensure investor guideline compliance, and drive a transparent loan process for borrowers and third parties.

The role focuses on processing files, collecting disclosures, updating Encompass, and coordinating conditions through to Clear to Close, with a remote option in the Charlotte area.

Qualifications

• Must use Encompass, Outlook and YBR.
• Organizational skills and a strong sense of urgency are essential.
• Product knowledge and underwriting guideline proficiency are required.
• Customer service and communication skills are essential to provide best-in-class service.

Responsibilities

• Review VP directives and loan file details.
• Request, retrieve and review borrower documents; follow up as needed.
• Collect application fee upon signed disclosures and borrower intent to proceed.
• Process remaining third-party orders and update Encompass.
• Re-run AUS and ensure approvability; prepare file for UW submission and CTC.
• Coordinate with borrower and third parties to clear conditions and submit to UW.
• Ensure timely loan closing and funding.
