The Position

Job Title: Mortgage Post-Closing Document Indexing Specialist

Job Description

SUMMARY

This position is responsible for reviewing and indexing signed loan closing documents. Contacting Borrowers, Title Companies, or FUBM Closers/Funders for missing or unsigned closing documents. Working reports for audit indexing loan requests from Mortgage Compliance/Altisource/Outsource. Delegating loans to be indexed that have been requested by audit to other Post-Closing team members.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

1. Indexes signed closing documents into Encompass efolder, ensuring compliance with all company policies.
2. Contacts Borrowers, Title Companies, or FUBM Closers/Funders for missing or non-signed closing documents.
3. Completes audit loan requests from Mortgage Compliance/Altisource/Outsource.
4. Provides backup for Mortgage Post-Closing Incoming Mail Specialist.
5. Provides backup for Mortgage Post-Closing Scanning Specialist.
6. Indexes recorded MTG/DOT and TPOL.
7. Provides backup assistance to others within the department as needed.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs other duties as requested by Executive Management or Supervisor.
• Completes all required compliance exams annually.
• Adheres to all First United Policies and Procedures.
• Adheres to the First United Dress policy.
• Recommends possible methods to improve the department to the manager.

Education and Work Experience

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior banking/mortgage experience preferred.
