Busey Bank in Dallas is seeking a Mortgage Originator to develop new business and originate quality mortgage loans in line with bank policies. The role involves cross-selling other products and building relationships with realtors.

You will consult with customers, prepare applications, secure commitments, analyze finances, and manage underwriting under lending guidelines. A strong sales and communication background is essential.

Qualifications

• Requires High School diploma.
• Mortgage lending or operations experience is preferred.
• Sales experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of lending regulations and underwriting guidelines.
• Familiarity with Mortgage documents and loan products.

Responsibilities

• Consult with customers regarding borrowing needs, negotiate terms, assist in preparing mortgage applications, and obtain documentation.
• Make verbal and written commitments on behalf of the Bank including rate terms and pre-qualification.
• Oversee pre-processing to provide disclosures to applicants within required time.
• Analyze financial and credit information to underwrite loans and recommend approval or rejection.
• Develop relationships with realtors and referral sources to increase business.
• Identify other financial needs and cross-sell other bank products and services.
