Job summary

Busey is seeking a Mortgage Originator to develop new business and originate quality mortgage loans in line with Bank policies. You will cross-sell other products and deepen client relationships while representing the Bank to customers and partners.

You will work with internal lines of business, handle loan applications and disclosures, and strive to meet sales goals through proactive outreach.

Qualifications

Consult with customers to assess borrowing needs and gather documents.
Understand lending regulations and underwriting guidelines.
Demonstrate cross-selling and closing abilities.

Responsibilities

Consult with customers regarding borrowing needs and prepare mortgage applications with required documents.
Make commitments on behalf of the Bank, including rate terms and pre-qualifications.
Oversee loan applications and disclosures within required time frames.
Analyze financial data to underwrite loans and recommend approvals.
Develop relationships with realtors and referral sources to grow business.
Cross-sell other bank products and services.
