Job summary

Cornerstone Servicing, a division of Cornerstone Capital Bank, is seeking an experienced Loss Mitigation Specialist in Englewood, CO. This on-site role focuses on delivering world-class customer care and educating borrowers on hardship options to prevent delinquencies.

Responsibilities include negotiating payment arrangements, handling inbound/outbound calls, and underwriting loans per investor guidelines to determine appropriate loss mitigation actions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years mortgage servicing experience preferred.
• 2+ years experience in a collections environment.
• Bi-lingual skills a plus.
• Strong phone etiquette and customer service focus.
• Analytical skills and prudent judgment.
• Excellent organization and time management.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate payment arrangements to help keep borrowers in their homes and reduce delinquency.
• Manage inbound and outbound calls via an automated system.
• Educate customers on hardship options and available loss mitigation programs.
• Underwrite loans for loss mitigation under FHA, VA, USDA, FNMA, FHLMC guidelines.
• Recommend loss mitigation actions within investor timeframes.
• Read and interpret title searches and resolve judgments/liens as needed.
• Maintain quality standards and assist with related duties.
