Job summary

Emergent Software in Bloomington, MN is seeking an experienced System Configuration Lead (LOS/LAS) to serve as the primary point person for LOS/LAS configuration and support initiatives. This role will partner with business leaders, end users, and IT teams to streamline workflows and governance of configuration requests within a dynamic mortgage lending environment.

While not a formal people-management role, it will act as a team lead and trusted advisor responsible for coordinating

Qualifications

• Mortgage industry experience required.
• LOS/LAS configuration experience required.
• Strong understanding of mortgage origination processes and workflows.
• Ability to lead technical teams or initiatives without direct people-management responsibility.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience managing multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience developing reports, status updates, and leadership presentations.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for LOS/LAS configuration requests and support activities.
• Partner with business stakeholders and IT teams to intake, evaluate, prioritize, and communicate configuration requests.
• Provide leadership and guidance to configuration and support team members without formal HR management responsibilities.
• Establish and improve workflows, procedures, service level expectations, and governance processes.
• Create visibility into project and request status through reporting, presentations, and stakeholder communications.
• Balance operational support needs with long-term process improvement initiatives.
• Facilitate meetings and discussions to align business requirements with technical solutions.
• Help define team roles, responsibilities, ownership models, and prioritization frameworks.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, and service delivery across support and configuration functions.
• Maintain strong relationships with business leaders, end users, and technology teams.
