Job summary

Affidian Credit Union is seeking a Mortgage Loan Servicing Specialist in Denver. This in-office role focuses on managing the mortgage and HELOC loan portfolios from closing through payoff, while assisting members with payments, taxes, and insurance questions.

The candidate will emphasize quality control to protect assets, organize loan servicing functions, and ensure accurate records. We value service excellence and opportunities for growth within the credit union.

Qualifications

• Two years or more of similar or related experience; banking or credit union experience preferred.
• Knowledge of mortgage loan processing is preferred.
• Must be able to type accurately and operate a computer terminal.
• General knowledge of banking operations and procedures.
• Proactive problem solving and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Perform post-closing duties: file audits, trailing documentation, and maintain filing systems.
• Process and track tax and insurance payments on first mortgages; manage escrow accounts.
• Perform annual escrow analysis and respond to member questions.
• Make payment adjustments as needed; prepare payoff statements.
• Record new loan liens/deeds of trust and process subordination requests.
• Assist with mortgage modifications and skip-a-pay requests.
• Maintain orderly file rooms and support with HMDA/BSA reporting.
• Coordinate 1098 tax statements and related communications.
