Job summary

Affidian Credit Union in Denver seeks an experienced Mortgage Loan Servicing Specialist to manage post-closing activities for first and second mortgages and HELOCs. You will assist members with payments, taxes, and insurance while upholding strict quality controls to protect assets.

The role emphasizes accurate recordkeeping, escrow management, and regulatory compliance, with a strong chance for internal growth in a full-time, in-office setting.

Qualifications

• A significant level of trust, diplomacy, privacy, and confidentiality is required.
• Excellent verbal communications and listening skills.
• Must possess the ability to type accurately and operate a computer terminal.
• Must have a general knowledge of banking operations and procedures.
• Pro-active in solving problems and taking initiative to go a step above in all situations.
• Good organizational skills to handle a large volume of information for a variety of responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform post-closing duties such as file audits and tracking trailing documentation.
• Process and track tax and insurance payments on first mortgages and manage escrow accounts.
• Perform annual escrow analyses and communicate with members.
• Make payment adjustments as necessary and prepare payoff statements.
• Record new loan liens/deeds of trust and manage subordination requests.
• Maintain orderly file room and assist with HMDA reporting and BSA/AML updates.
• Support with 1098 tax statements and other related duties or special projects.
