Regions is seeking a Mortgage Loan Officer in Charleston, SC to originate residential mortgage loans through a branch network. You will complete applications, evaluate requests, and maintain customer relationships while promoting Regions' loan products.

The role emphasizes building external referrals, meeting regulatory requirements, and performing in a commission-based environment with earning potential based on performance and market conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year mortgage lending experience with proven production.
• Ability to develop external referrals from realtors, builders, and financial planners.

Responsibilities

• Complete mortgage applications for submission to processing and underwriting.
• Evaluate loan requests and analyze financial data for qualification.
• Maintain contact with loan customers and provide progress updates.
• Structure loans to comply with lending practices and regulations.
• Develop marketing plans and contact frequency with customers and partners.
• Cross-sell other bank products and services.
• Attend networking with professional groups to promote loan products.
