Job summary

Northrim BanCorp, Inc. in Anchorage, AK is hiring a Mortgage Loan Processor to turn loan applications into closings. You will work with Loan Originators, Underwriters, and borrowers to ensure files are complete, compliant and ready for funding.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of loan processing experience preferred.
• Mortgage industry experience is a plus.
• Military education or experience may substitute for education or work experience.

Responsibilities

• Review incoming loan documents to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Verify borrower information, resolve discrepancies, and coordinate with borrowers and Originators.
• Order credit reports, appraisals, flood certifications, title work, insurance, and other required documentation.
• Prepare and submit clean, organized loan files to Underwriting for approval.
• Update loan systems based on underwriting decisions and loan status changes.
• Communicate with customers regarding loan status, next steps, and timelines.
• Track and follow up on outstanding conditions and documentation.
• Perform thorough document audits prior to funding.
• Resolve exceptions and conditions to keep loans moving forward.
• Stay up to date on FHA, VA, and conventional loan guidelines and changes.
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations and company policies.
• Support the team with additional duties as needed.
