Job summary

Northrim Bank/Residential Mortgage, LLC in Anchorage, AK is seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator to solicit and develop residential mortgage loans. You will spend substantial time on outside sales and maintain strong realtor relationships, ensuring compliance with investor guidelines and applicable regulations.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and knowledge of FHA/VA/Fannie Mae programs, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic market.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Three years of lending experience.
• Registration and annual certification with the National Mortgage Licensing Registry.
• Exceptional communicator with the ability to present information clearly.
• Thorough understanding of FHA, VA, Fannie Mae, AHFC and related loan programs.

Responsibilities

• Receive and screen loan applications and credit/documents.
• Conduct loan interviews and gather customer information to start a loan.
• Determine borrower eligibility based on investor guidelines.
• Order real estate appraisal for purchase or refinance.
• Maintain knowledge of local real estate trends and lending rates.
• Develop contacts with realtors and builders to promote bank services.
• Comply with state/federal laws and mortgage industry guidelines.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
