Job summary

TVFCU in Chattanooga, TN is seeking an experienced Mortgage Loan Processor II to review and submit mortgage files including conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, and portfolio products in compliance with guidelines and regulations. This role partners with borrowers, origination staff, underwriters, closers, and real estate partners to ensure a compliant, smooth lending experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, real estate or related field preferred.
• 2–4 years mortgage processing experience.
• Familiarity with Encompass LOS; Spanish preferred.
• Accurate, detail oriented with strong verbal and written skills.
• Knowledge of lending programs, policies and regulations a plus.
• Must be bonded and NMLS registered.

Responsibilities

• Process Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, HELOCs and portfolio loans from application to closing.
• Maintain knowledge of policies and regulatory requirements related to lending.
• Identify and resolve complex underwriting scenarios.
• Order and track third‑party services (appraisals, title work, etc.).
• Collect and review loan documents to ensure accuracy in the loan system.
• Fulfill underwriting conditions with members and real estate partners.
• Communicate with loan originators, buyers, sellers, and vendors as needed.
• Maintain a mortgage loan pipeline and multi‑task to close loans on time.
