The role requires strong problem-solving, clear communication, and the ability to work independently or in a team, with experience in Encompass and Windows. You will gather documents, verify information, coordinate with loan officers and underwriters, and ensure timely responses to loan partners.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as mortgage loan processor or similar position.
• Experience with FHA, VA, USDA and Conventional loans (at least one) and willingness to train in others.
• Understanding of loan guidelines and underwriting procedures.
• Knowledge of laws and best practices in mortgage processing.
• Proficient in Encompass LOS with ability to learn other systems.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate loan applications and financial documents and determine loan viability.
• Gather missing data from loan officers (assets, debts, etc.).
• Verify information by contacting references and sources.
• Correct discrepancies and investigate inconsistencies in files.
• Serve as liaison between loan officers and underwriters.
• Conduct final review of files before closing.
• Deliver timely, accurate responses to loan partners.
