Job summary

Village Capital & Investment LLC in Draper, Utah, is seeking an experienced Mortgage Loan Closer to ensure accurate, compliant closings and timely funding for borrowers and partners. You will review files, prepare disclosures, verify fees, and coordinate with title, escrow, and internal teams to support a high-volume mortgage operation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years mortgage closing experience.
• Strong knowledge of closing disclosures and title documents.
• Familiarity with FHA, VA, USDA, and conventional loan products.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy under tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a high-volume, time-sensitive environment.
• Proficiency with Encompass or similar LOS platforms.

Responsibilities

• Review fully approved loan files for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company and investor requirements.
• Prepare and generate accurate closing disclosures, settlement statements, and loan documents.
• Verify fees, payoffs, and wire instructions to ensure accuracy prior to closing.
• Coordinate with title companies, escrow agents, loan officers, and internal departments to facilitate timely closings.
• Review and clear closing conditions in Encompass before release of funds.
• Manage closing timelines to meet funding deadlines and customer expectations.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, agency, and investor regulations.
• Identify and resolve any closing discrepancies quickly and professionally.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communication throughout the closing process.
