Qualifications

• 3+ years in FHA, VA, Conventional mortgage processing or underwriting.
• High school/GED required.
• Knowledge of underwriting systems and mortgage processing software.

Responsibilities

• Gather data to support mortgage loan requests and guidelines.
• Analyze information for completeness and agency compliance.
• Submit loan packages to underwriter for review.
• Maintain timely processing from receipt to closing (30–45 days).
• Negotiate necessary approval conditions to avoid customer hardship.
• Stay up-to-date with agency and bank guidelines and regulations.
• Keep all parties informed of loan status throughout the process.
• Provide complete HMDA reporting information.
• Assist other mortgage department personnel when needed.
