Job summary

Whitaker Bank is seeking a Mortgage Loan Processor in Lexington, KY. You will gather and review documents for loan and HELOC applications, support MLOs, and ensure compliance with bank policies and regulations.

You will coordinate due diligence, closures, and funding while maintaining accuracy in documentation. The role requires processing knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work with underwriting guidelines and investor requirements.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or one-year related experience.
• Experience with credit review or loan processing is preferred.
• Knowledge of TRID, HMDA and bank lending policies is desirable.
• Proficient with Encompass and basic office software.

Responsibilities

• Accept mortgage loan and HELOC applications in the Mortgage Loan Operating System (Encompass).
• Order and review appraisals, title work, insurance, and income verifications.
• Verify income documents per underwriting guidelines, and identify gaps.
• Coordinate closing with attorneys or customers and prepare final packages.
• Ensure HMDA data accuracy and complete compliance reviews.
• Assist in due diligence and file preparation for investor submissions.
