Job summary

North Dallas Bank & Trust is seeking a Mortgage Loan Processor to coordinate residential loan applications from submission through underwriting and closing. The role collaborates with lenders, underwriters, title companies, appraisers, and borrowers to ensure complete, accurate, and compliant files and to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and possesses strong communication and multitasking skills to manage multiple loan files

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of mortgage loan processing experience, including residential loan processing.
• Knowledge of mortgage underwriting criteria and compliance guidelines.
• Understanding of credit guidelines and ability to read credit reports.
• Knowledge of mortgage lending guidelines and regulations (RESPA, REG B, HMDA, FHA, VA, Conventional, etc.).
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent time management and follow-up skills.
• Ability to work with teams, clients, and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Review residential loan application files to verify data completeness and standards.
• Maintain accurate records of loan statuses for reporting and tracking.
• Verify information with employers and credit bureaus.
• Analyze financials provided by borrowers to process and underwrite files.
• Order and obtain property abstracts, surveys, appraisals, and title work.
• Submit mortgage loan applications for underwriting approval.
• Maintain organized electronic files in LOS and send letters to applicants.
• Provide proactive communication with borrowers, MLOs, and title company.
