Job summary

Civista Bank in Indiana is seeking a Mortgage Processing Specialist to gather and process all documents needed to meet underwriting requirements and support a smooth home-buying experience.

You will work closely with borrowers, mortgage loan officers, and underwriters to ensure timely, accurate file completion and a high level of customer service. Strong problem-solving and software proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience in the mortgage loan industry.
• Encompass Software System experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of banking industry practices relative to mortgage loan operations.
• Must have strong computer skills and proficiency with loan software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• A high level of initiative, thoroughness, and accuracy required.
• Solid communication and organizational skills with focus on teamwork.
• Ability to work under deadlines with frequent interruptions and balance multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Review application files to verify data is complete and meets requirements.
• Collaborate with third party vendors to obtain necessary documentation.
• Manage complex loan pipeline to prioritize milestones and meet service levels.
• Be the main contact with borrowers during processing, requesting documentation and ensuring a strong customer experience.
• Collaborate with underwriters and MLOs to obtain and confirm borrower information; submit complete loan file to underwriting.
• Navigate CRM, loan operating systems, and third-party sites to obtain documentation.
• Perform all other duties that support the key accountabilities.
