Job summary

Civista Bank is seeking a Mortgage Processing Specialist to gather and process documents needed for underwriting. You will work closely with borrowers, mortgage loan officers, and underwriters to deliver a smooth home-buying experience.

Responsibilities include reviewing files for completeness, coordinating with vendors, managing a complex loan pipeline, and serving as the primary contact for borrowers during processing. The role requires 2+ years in mortgage lending and strong software skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience in the mortgage loan industry.
• Encompass Software System experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of banking industry practices related to mortgage loan operations.
• Proficiency with loan software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• High level of initiative, thoroughness, and accuracy.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under deadlines and balance multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Review application files to verify data is complete and meets established requirements.
• Collaborate with third party vendors to ensure timely ordering of necessary documentation and services.
• Manage complex loan pipeline to ensure workflow is prioritized and service levels are met.
• Act as main point of contact with borrowers during processing; request documentation and provide exceptional customer experience.
• Collaborate with underwriters and MLOs to obtain and confirm borrower information; submit file to underwriting.
• Navigate CRM and loan operating systems to obtain documentation and information.
• Perform other duties to support key accountabilities.
