Job summary

Civista Bank is seeking a Mortgage Processing Specialist to gather and process documents needed for underwriting and loan approval. You will work closely with borrowers, loan officers, and underwriters to ensure a smooth home buying experience.

You will manage a complex loan pipeline, prioritize tasks to meet service levels, and maintain confidentiality while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience in the mortgage loan industry.
• Encompass Software System experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of banking industry practices related to mortgage operations.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency with loan software and Microsoft Office.
• High initiative, thoroughness, and accuracy.
• Solid communication and organizational skills with teamwork focus.

Responsibilities

• Review application files to verify data is complete and meets requirements.
• Collaborate with third party vendors to order necessary documentation and services.
• Manage complex loan pipeline to maintain workflow and milestones.
• Serve as main contact with borrowers during processing, requesting documentation and delivering a positive experience.
• Coordinate with underwriters and MLOs to obtain and confirm borrower information; submit to underwriting.
• Navigate CRM, loan operating systems, and third-party sites to obtain documents.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support key accountabilities.
