Qualifications

5+ years in an office environment, preferably as a loan officer assistant or mortgage assistant.
Knowledge of loan financing options: conventional, FHA, VA, adjustable/fixed, commercial loans.
Preferably a degree in banking or finance; a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
An NMLS license or training is preferred but not required.
Proficiency in MS Office; CRM, MLS, DU, and mortgage software are preferred.

Responsibilities

Be the primary liaison between the mortgage loan officer and clients and schedule meetings to discuss outstanding items.
Handle all customer and in-house inquiries about transactions to ensure a smooth process and great service.
Screen and make calls, book appointments and provide administrative support as needed.
Check all loan package documents for accuracy and escalate discrepancies to the loan officer.
Gather and coordinate loan documents required for verifications and underwriting.
Gather initial documentation and fully structure a loan.
Offer solutions to the client for the best path forward for their situation.
Confidently deliver pre-qualification to the client.
Demonstrate creativity and problem-solving throughout the process.
