Job summary

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in an office environment, preferably as a loan officer assistant or mortgage assistant.
  • Knowledge of loan financing options: conventional, FHA, VA, adjustable/fixed, commercial loans.
  • Preferably a degree in banking or finance; a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • An NMLS license or training is preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; CRM, MLS, DU, and mortgage software are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Be the primary liaison between the mortgage loan officer and clients and schedule meetings to discuss outstanding items.
  • Handle all customer and in-house inquiries about transactions to ensure a smooth process and great service.
  • Screen and make calls, book appointments and provide administrative support as needed.
  • Check all loan package documents for accuracy and escalate discrepancies to the loan officer.
  • Gather and coordinate loan documents required for verifications and underwriting.
  • Gather initial documentation and fully structure a loan.
  • Offer solutions to the client for the best path forward for their situation.
  • Confidently deliver pre-qualification to the client.
  • Demonstrate creativity and problem-solving throughout the process.

  • Screen and make calls, book appointments and provide administrative support as needed
  • Check all loan package documents for complete accuracy and submit any discrepancies to the loan officer/ loan originator
  • Gather and coordinate necessary loan documentation required for verifications and underwriting such as loan files, loan packages, credit reports, and additional mortgage application paperwork
  • Gather initial documentation and fully structure a loan
  • Offer solutions to the client for the best path forward for their situation
  • Confidently deliver pre‑qualification to the client
  • Ability to be creative and think outside the box
Qualifications
  • At least 5+ years of professional office environment required, preferably as a loan officer assistant or mortgage assistant
  • Advanced comprehension of loan financing options such as conventional loans, FHA, VA, adjustable/fixed, commercial loans, etc.
  • Preferred degree in banking or finance, and a high school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Although not required, having an NMLS license or training is preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office required; CRM, MLS, DU, and proprietary mortgage software preferred
Compensation

$55,000 per year plus bonus.
