Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a mortgage loan originator to originate loans in an assigned non-bank territory. You will take applications, perform preliminary underwriting, and submit to processing for approval while ensuring timely document collection.

A significant portion of work involves sales activities away from bank locations, with at least 50% travel. Requirements include NMLS registration, a high school diploma or equivalent, and 2+ years in mortgage, sales, or real estate.

Qualifications

• NMLS registration required under SAFÉ Act and Reg Z; regulatory compliance must be maintained
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Two or more years in Mortgage, Sales, or Real Estate

Responsibilities

• Originates mortgage loans in an assigned Non-Bank territory and solicits loan sales
• Take applications and conduct preliminary underwriting reviews
• Submit loan applications to processing and underwriting for approval
• Ensure required documents for processing, underwriting and closing are secured timely
• Spend at least 50% of time conducting activity away from U.S. Bank locations
