Job summary

RaizFCU is seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator in El Paso to educate and assist members with mortgage products. You will solicit loans from members, realtors, builders, and the public, conduct pre-qualification, complete applications, and provide disclosures in line with policy.

The role requires knowledge of mortgage products, strong communication, and the ability to cross-sell related credit union services while meeting production targets.

Qualifications

• High School degree; no secondary degree required.
• Must be licensed/registered through NMLS and renew annually.
• Minimum 1 year of customer service; 1–3 years in financial institutions or lending.
• Knowledge of credit underwriting and underwriting guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Answer member questions on mortgage and related services.
• Cultivate relationships with members, realtors, and builders to meet production goals.
• Gather information and process loan requests for credit approval.
• Inform members about loan decisions, rates, and loan options.
• Ensure timely pre-approvals and proper documentation.
• Maintain records and communicate with Mortgage Department leadership.
