Job summary

Ion Bank is seeking an experienced Mortgage Loan Originator to originate consumer loans and mortgages while meeting monthly production goals. You will build and maintain a robust network of referral partners, including realtors, builders, and financial professionals, and explain complex loan options clearly to clients.

The ideal candidate has a strong commitment to exceptional customer service, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to grow NVE Bank’s loan business within Ion Bank's

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or finance preferred; 2–4 years lending and sales experience.
• Familiarity with mortgage products, underwriting, Freddie Mac and CHFA guidelines.
• Must be registered with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS).

Responsibilities

• Originate consumer loans and mortgages to grow portfolio and meet monthly production goals.
• Interview loan applicants, collect and analyze data for applications.
• Explain terms of loan and commitments to prospective borrowers.
• Develop new business with realtors, attorneys and builders.
• Handle inquiries and resolve customer complaints in a timely manner.
• Ensure activities comply with bank policy and regulatory requirements.
