Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Mortgage Loan Officer to originate mortgage loans in an assigned non-bank territory, handling applications, preliminary underwriting, and submission for approval.

You will ensure timely collection of documents for processing, underwriting, and closing, with significant field activity away from bank locations. The role requires NMLS registration, a high school diploma or equivalent, and 2+ years in mortgage, sales, or real estate.

Qualifications

• NMLS registration under S.A.F.E. Act and Regulation Z and ongoing regulatory compliance
• High school degree or equivalent
• Two or more years of Mortgage, Sales, or Real Estate experience

Responsibilities

• Originates mortgage loans in an assigned non-bank territory.
• Takes applications and conducts preliminary underwriting reviews.
• Submits loan applications to processing and underwriting for approval and follows up to secure documents for processing, underwriting, and closing.
• Spend at least 50% of time conducting sales activities away from U.S. Bank locations.
