Job summary

Fifth Third Bank in Orlando, FL seeks an experienced Mortgage Loan Officer to originate residential loans from application to closing. You will build and manage a local referral network, ensure compliance with lending rules, and coordinate with branches for timely updates.

Strong communication, organizational, and sales skills are essential, along with a solid understanding of processing and underwriting guidelines and a proven mortgage production history.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of conventional and government lending guidelines.
• Knowledge of residential mortgage processing, underwriting, and closing procedures.
• Knowledge of federal lending regulations governing real estate lending.
• Two years mortgage lending experience.
• Established local referral sources.
• Mortgage sales of $1 million per month.

Responsibilities

• Develop referral contacts (realtors, builders, professional and personal contacts).
• Maintain knowledge of policies and procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of loan products, processing procedures, underwriting and guidelines.
• Take applicant applications using Fannie Mae 1003.
• Use laptop for communication, rates, credit reports, and transmitting loans.
• Collect documentation and deliver loan packages timely.
• Manage pipeline through closing and reporting.
• Communicate with branches and applicants with updates.
• Maintain high levels of customer service.
