Qualifications

• Minimum two years of mortgage loan origination experience
• Thorough knowledge of pricing and underwriting requirements of various mortgage products and programs
• Knowledge of residential mortgage processing, underwriting, and closing procedures
• Thorough knowledge of federal lending regulations governing real estate lending (Truth-in-Lending, RESPA)
• Ability to analyze financial information
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Professional demeanor and sound judgment
• NMLS registration under the SAFE Act of 2008

Responsibilities

• Assembles and reviews new applications and matches applicants with mortgage programs
• Manages file through loan process and coordinates document collection
• Conducts preliminary underwriting reviews and stays as front-line contact with borrowers
• Develops referral relationships with realtors, builders, bankers and other sources to solicit new business
