• Originate residential real estate loans in accordance with established lending policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Develop new business through referrals, bank-generated leads, Realtors, builders, attorneys, and other community and professional relationships.
• Interview applicants, gather required documentation, and evaluate financial information to identify appropriate mortgage solutions.
• Educate customers regarding available loan products, program requirements, and the mortgage application process.
• Manage a pipeline of mortgage applications while ensuring timely follow-up, communication, and customer service throughout the lending process.
• Partner closely with processing and operations staff to facilitate efficient loan processing and resolution of outstanding conditions.
• Maintain market awareness, including economic trends, housing activity, and competitive factors that impact mortgage lending opportunities.
• Foster strong relationships with internal partners and external referral sources while promoting a positive and professional image of the bank.
• Comply with all applicable banking regulations, including Bank Secrecy Act requirements and information security standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned or as needed.
