Job summary

United Community is seeking a dedicated Mortgage Loan Officer to join our Georgia team. In this on-site role, you will build relationships with realtors, builders, and developers while guiding clients through the mortgage process with expertise and care.

You will analyze loan applications, ensure compliance with investor and government guidelines, and maintain exceptional customer service throughout the loan lifecycle. An active NMLS license and strong sales acumen are essential.

Qualifications

• Active NMLS License is required.
• Minimum two years of residential mortgage loan origination.
• Familiar with FHA, VA, and USDA guidelines.
• Proficient in sales and service skills; including tele-consulting, prospecting, and networking.

Responsibilities

• Develop business through maintaining contact with realtors, builders, developers and construction lenders.
• Maintain knowledge of loan products, processing procedures, and underwriting guidelines.
• Interviews potential customers and answers questions about various types of mortgage loans.
• Reviews, analyzes, and processes mortgage loan requests; ensure compliance with investor, state and federal lending requirements.
• Order verifications of employment, deposits, mortgage, and rental.
• Collect appropriate documentation from each applicant and deliver loan package within management timeframes.
• Input information from applications into Mortgageware and verify documentation.
• Maintain high levels of customer service while managing each applicant’s expectations.

What You’ll Do

• Active NMLS License is required
• Develop business through maintaining contact with realtors, builders, developers and construction lenders.
• Maintain knowledge of available loan products, processing procedures, and underwriting and general department guideline
• Interviews potential customers and answers questions about various types of mortgage loans.
• Reviews, analyzes, and processes mortgage loan requests. Reviews application and initial loan documentation for compliance to investor, state and federal lending requirements
• Responsible for ordering verifications of employment, deposits, mortgage, and rental.
• Collect appropriate documentation from each applicant and deliver loan package in the timeframes set by Management.
• Input information from application and verifying documentation into Mortgageware
• Maintain high levels of customer service while managing each applicant’s expectations

Requirements For Success

• Minimum two (2) years of residential mortgage loan origination
• Familiar with FHA, VA, and USDA guidelines
• Proficient in sales and service skills; including tele-consulting, prospecting, and networking.
• NMLS License required

Preferred Skills/Experience

• Current Notary Public Certification preferred
