Job summary

United Community is seeking a Mortgage Loan Officer to help individuals achieve homeownership by guiding clients through the mortgage process.

You will build relationships with realtors, builders, and developers in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment while maintaining high customer service levels and compliance with lending guidelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of residential mortgage loan origination.
• Familiar with FHA, VA, and USDA guidelines.
• Proficient in sales and service skills; including tele-consulting, prospecting, and networking.
• NMLS License required.

Responsibilities

• Develop business through maintaining contact with realtors, builders, developers and construction lenders.
• Interviews potential customers and explains various mortgage loan options.
• Reviews and processes mortgage loan requests to ensure compliance with investor, state, and federal requirements.
• Orders verifications of employment, deposits, and mortgage information as needed.
• Inputs application data and supporting documents into Mortgageware and tracks file progress.
• Maintains high levels of customer service while managing applicant expectations.

In this role, you’ll build lasting relationships with realtors, builders, and developers while guiding clients through the mortgage process with expertise and care. What You’ll Do

• Active NMLS License is required
• Develop business through maintaining contact with realtors, builders, developers and construction lenders.
• Maintain knowledge of available loan products, processing procedures, and underwriting and general department guideline
• Interviews potential customers and answers questions about various types of mortgage loans.
• Reviews, analyzes, and processes mortgage loan requests. Reviews application and initial loan documentation for compliance to investor, state and federal lending requirements
• Responsible for ordering verifications of employment, deposits, mortgage, and rental.
• Collect appropriate documentation from each applicant and deliver loan package in the timeframes set by Management.
• Input information from application and verifying documentation into Mortgageware
• Maintain high levels of customer service while managing each applicant’s expectations

Requirements For Success

• Minimum two (2) years of residential mortgage loan origination
• Familiar with FHA, VA, and USDA guidelines
• Proficient in sales and service skills; including tele-consulting, prospecting, and networking.
• NMLS License required

Preferred Skills/Experience

• Current Notary Public Certification preferred
