Job summary

Regions Bank is seeking a Mortgage Loan Officer to direct residential loan origination through our branch network. The role involves evaluating requests, gathering documentation, and ensuring compliance with lending rules. You will actively develop new business via referrals and cross-sell Regions products.

This commission-based position requires NMLS registration, a high school diploma or GED, and at least one year of mortgage lending experience. Location: New Orleans, LA.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• One year of mortgage lending experience with proven mortgage production.
• Experience developing external business via referral partners (realtors, builders, financial planners).

Responsibilities

• Completes mortgage applications for submission to loan processing and underwriting.
• Evaluates loan requests, analyzes financial data, and determines qualification of collateral and credit history.
• Maintains contact with loan customers, communicates progress and obtains required documents.
• Structures loans to comply with lending practices and regulations.
• Cross-sells other bank products and services.
• Participates in networking to promote loan products.
