Job summary

Regions Bank in Alton, Illinois is seeking a Mortgage Loan Officer to originate residential loans through our branch network. You will complete applications, analyze credit, and maintain client relationships to drive loan production.

The role offers a commission incentive plan with total compensation opportunities and requires NMLS registration. High School diploma or GED and mortgage experience are required, with preferred bachelor’s degree and real estate referrals experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Mortgage lending experience with proven production.
• Experience developing external business via referrals to realtors, builders and financial planners.

Responsibilities

• Completes mortgage applications for submission to the loan processing and underwriting departments.
• Evaluates loan requests, analyzes financial data, and determines qualification of collateral and customer credit history.
• Maintains contact with loan customers, communicating progress of loan and obtaining required documentation.
• Structures loan to comply with lending practices and federal regulations.
• Establishes detailed marketing plan including names of potential and existing loan customers, realtors and developers.
