Job summary

Regions Bank is seeking a Mortgage Loan Officer to originate residential mortgage loans through a branch network. You will complete applications, evaluate requests, and maintain contact with customers throughout the process.

The role is commission-based with historically wide total compensation; requires at least 1 year of mortgage lending experience and NMLS registration. Opportunities may exist in multiple Illinois cities, including Alton.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Abundant mortgage lending experience with proven production.
• Ability to develop external business via referrals (realtors, builders, financial planners).

Responsibilities

• Completes mortgage applications for submission to loan processing.
• Evaluates loan requests, analyzes financial data and credit history.
• Maintains contact with loan customers and communicates progress.
• Structures loans in compliance with lending practices and regulations.
• Develops marketing plans and contacts with potential customers.
• Makes sales calls to develop or retain business.
• Cross-sells other bank products and services.
• Reads surveys and appraisals and addresses encroachments/violations.
• Participates in networking to promote loan products.
