Job summary

Regions Bank in Nashville, Tennessee seeks a Mortgage Loan Officer to originate residential mortgage loans through our branch network. You will complete applications, analyze financial data and credit history, and maintain ongoing customer communication.

This commission-based role offers an incentive plan with earnings that vary by performance and location. A NMLS registration is required; a high school diploma or GED is essential, with preference for mortgage lending experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year of mortgage lending experience with proven mortgage production.
• Extensive mortgage experience developing external business via referral partners (realtors, builders, financial planners).

Responsibilities

• Completes mortgage applications for submission to the loan processing and underwriting departments.
• Evaluates loan requests, analyzes financial data, and determines qualification of collateral and customer credit history.
• Maintains contact with loan customers, communicating progress and obtaining required documentation.
• Structures loan to comply with lending practices and federal regulations.
• Develops detailed marketing/business plan and frequency of contact with customers and partners.
• Answers customer calls and walk-in discussions about loan products and qualification information.
• Makes sales calls to develop new business or retain existing customers.
• Cross-sells bank products and services.
