Job summary

Regions Bank is seeking a Mortgage Loan Officer to originate residential mortgage loans through a branch network. You will complete applications, evaluate requests, and maintain client contact while promoting various loan products.

The role requires NMLS registration, strong sales skills, and the ability to build relationships with realtors, builders, and financial planners; compensation includes commission-based incentives and potential for high earnings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and one year of mortgage lending experience.
• Experience developing external business via referral partners such as realtors, builders, and financial planners.
• Registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Completes mortgage applications for submission to the loan processing and underwriting departments.
• Evaluates loan requests, analyzes financial data, and determines qualification of collateral and customer credit history.
• Maintains contact with loan customer, communicating progress of loan and obtaining required documentation.
• Structures loan to comply with acceptable lending practices and Federal regulations.
• Establishes detailed marketing/business plan including names of potential and existing loan customers, realtors, builders, and developers, etc., and frequency of contact.
• Cross-sells other bank products and services.
