Role Description

The Mortgage Loan Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Plano Texas. This position is responsible for guiding applicants through the mortgage process, including initial consultations, pre-qualification, loan application completion, and documentation collection. The role involves assessing borrower eligibility, explaining loan options and terms, coordinating with underwriters and processors, and ensuring compliance with lending regulations and company policies. The Mortgage Loan Officer will maintain regular communication with clients, real estate partners, and internal teams to drive timely approvals and closings while delivering a positive customer experience.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Loan Officer with demonstrated ability to manage a pipeline of mortgage applications and meet production goals.
• Knowledge of the Mortgage Industry and Mortgage Lending practices, including loan products, interest rate structures, and regulatory requirements.
• Understanding of Underwriting principles and documentation standards to support accurate risk assessment and loan approval processes.
• Strong Customer Service skills, including active listening, clear communication, and the ability to build trust with diverse borrowers.
• Proficiency with loan origination systems and common office software; strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work on-site in Plano, Tx, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Relevant state mortgage loan originator license with adherence to all applicable federal and state regulations.
• Background in finance, banking, or a related field; prior experience in residential mortgage lending is strongly preferred.
