Job summary

Navy Federal Credit Union in Jacksonville, NC seeks a Mortgage Loan Officer to interview members, counsel on first mortgage products, and guide applications from initial contact to closing. Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Take first mortgage loan applications via face-to-face interview, mail, and telephone.
• Interview and counsel members regarding mortgage loan products, financing options, and the mortgage loan process.
• Review mortgage applications for completeness and accuracy and identify additional information or supporting documentation needed.
• Assist members in understanding loan requirements, conditions, and documentation needed to support their mortgage application.
• Request and obtain required documentation and forward documentation to the Mortgage Processor.
• Maintain contact with members throughout the mortgage loan process and provide updates regarding application and processing status.
• Coordinate with Mortgage Processors and other appropriate parties to support timely processing of mortgage applications.
• Respond to routine inquiries regarding mortgage applications, documentation requirements, processing status, and next steps.
• Identify routine application or processing issues and seek guidance or elevate more complex issues as appropriate.
• Monitor assigned mortgage applications to support timely completion of required activities and documentation.
