Job summary

Farmers National Bank of Canfield is seeking a Loan Consultant to source, qualify and originate 1-4 family mortgage loans. You will also identify cross-sell opportunities and partner with Trust, Insurance, and other divisions.

You will coach retail staff on mortgage products, collect and review documents, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Travel to multiple offices and client homes daily.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of mortgage terminology, documentation, and regulations.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in mortgage lending and/or processing.
• FHA/VA knowledge required.
• Proven understanding of Freddie Mac (FHLMC) and Fannie Mae (FNMA).

Responsibilities

• Source, qualify and originate 1-4 family mortgage loans.
• Recognize and execute cross-sell opportunities for other divisions.
• Support and partner with assigned retail branch teams to assist clients and generate new mortgage opportunities.
• Develop and maintain profitable Centers Of Influence to help generate new business leads.
• Develop and maintain relationships within the real estate community.
• Collect, process and complete mortgage paperwork (applications, tax statements, income data).
• Create and track production and call reports on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis.
• Travel to multiple retail banking offices and client homes/offices daily.
