IBC Bank is seeking a Mortgage Loan Consultant in-office in Austin to proactively solicit new residential mortgage business, leverage referral leads, and sell IBC Consumer Mortgage products. Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer 2 years of recent residential loan origination experience.
• RMLO license preferred (NMLS).
• Knowledge of consumer mortgage products and Texas home equity laws.
• Understanding of processing, underwriting, closing and funding.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains a quality network of referrals for mortgage opportunities.
• Develops relationships with the SBA Bank Sales team and Commercial Bankers.
• Evaluates and recommends approval of residential real estate loan applications.
• Understands loan products, disclosures, and interest rate pricing.
• Takes borrower information and completes the application.
• Analyzes income and debt to pre-qualify borrowers.
• Educates borrowers on home financing and shows cost scenarios.
• Quotes interest rates and fees to applicants.
• Maintains contact with borrowers, contractors, and other parties between application and closing.
• Assists borrowers in addressing credit issues and participates in closings.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
